MY EXPERIENCE IN BULGARIA.

My trip to Bulgaria was unforgettable. I lived with my girl named Ioanna. Maria Luisa lived with Hristina, Paul lived with Georgi, Jose Martin lived with Tommy and Alexander lived with Kristian.
We arrived on Sunday May 22 afternoon. On Monday we had free time and as Maria Luisa’s friend and mine were good friends we went to Hristina’s house to spend the day and in the evening we went to visit the center of Dobrich.
On Tuesday we participated in a parade "Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture, and the Slovak literature”, and in the afternoon after lunch we visited the most important things of Dobrich.
On Wednesday we visited the city of Varna.
On Thursday we went to the school, we had lunch and then we went to the Municipal Library.
On Friday we visited Kaliakra and we had some free time.
On Saturday was the day we had to say goodbye to everyone because we would not see each other again.
We met people from different countries: French, Bulgarian, Italian, German, Turks ...
It was a great experience. I would repeat it next year.
We have known other customs, other cultures, and we have met a lot of people with whom we can stay in touch afterwards.

On 22nd may we went to Bulgaria, we were very nervous because we didn’t know many things about this country. That night we took off at 2 o’clock in the morning. In the plane I was nervous and I couldn’t sleep. When we arrived we visited Bucarest and Constanta with the Bulgarian teacher Hristo. Finally it was time to meet the families. They were very kind with us. We went to the house to eat and know each other.
On Monday, it was our free day; we visited the town, Dobrich, and met their friends.
On Tuesday, we took part in a parade and visited the old part of Dobrich.
On Wednesday, we visited Varna, a near town. We went to the archaeological museum, the dolphinarium, to see a show; and the protobulgarian centre and we ate in a restaurant there.
On Thursday, we went to our friends’ school; there, we watched a presentation of all the travels of the programme and introduced ourselves. We ate in the canteen of the school and, in the afternoon, we visited the library of Dobrich. That night, we went to a party in a pub; we danced, some people drank and everybody had a good time.
On Friday, we visited some monuments of near towns; like the cape Kaliakra, kavarna, the botanical garden and the palace of Balchic, Albena and the monastery of Aladja. We had dinner in a typical Bulgarian restaurant and we saw a show with typical music and dances.
Saturday was our last day. In the morning, we packed our suitcase and, when we finished lunch, we went to the hotel to say goodbye. Some of us cried and we were sad because we didn’t want to separate, but finally we returned to Spain, after 4 hours by bus, 2 waiting and 2 and a half more by plane, with a lot of good memories we won’t forget.

My trip to Bulgaria was unforgettable. We were there from Sunday 22 May until Saturday 28 May.
On Saturday we left the airport of Alicante to Romania
On Sunday we arrived at the airport in Romania and spent all day visiting it in the morning. In the afternoon we headed Dobrich, the city where our families lived. I was at the house of a Bulgarian boy named Tommy. He was a very nice and kind boy.
On Monday we had the day off and spent all morning through the center of Dobrich with Alejandro and Kristian, the Bulgarian boy with whom Alejandro was. At night we went to his house for dinner and after dinner we went to a nightclub called "Bacardi" with Alejandro, Kristian, Mirella, Marius and Anne (the Germans).
On Tuesday morning we participated in the Bulgarian school parade. After the parade we all went to have lunch and then visited the old Dobrich. At night, we went home to sleep and have dinner.
On Wednesday we all went together to Varna. When we arrived there we saw a dolphin show. After the show we went to eat at a restaurant. In the afternoon we had free time in Varna. Finally, at night we went home for dinner and sleep.
On Thursday we went to visit the school "High School of Veterinary Medicine", where we had breakfast, ate, and showed our presentations. At night we went to his house for dinner and after dinner we went to the disco "Bacardi" with Alejandro, Kristian, Mirella, Marius, Anne, Pablo, María Luisa, Hristina, María Dolores, Ioanna and all the teachers.
On Friday we visited Kaliakra, Kavarna, Albena resort and Balchic. At night we went to have dinner at a restaurant where we were served traditional food.
On Saturday we came back to Spain. After saying goodbye to the families, we went to the airport in Romania.
On Sunday we arrived in Spain.

My travel to Bulgaria was very funny and interesting. I met a lot of people and they all were very nice and kind.
I made a lot of friends. Hristina, my Bulgarian friend, was very happy and she taught me her customs and we did many popular things in Bulgaria.
Dobrich was very beautiful. We visited the town of Varna, too. We visited many churches and parks, too.
Definitely, Comenius was a perfect travel. I had a good experience and I want to repeat it.

VISITA DEL AUTOR: JOSÉ RAMÓN AYLLÓN

Una vez más, como cada año, el Departamento de Lengua en colaboración con la editorial Bruño, hemos acercado a nuestros alumnos de Secundaria al mundo de la literatura recibiendo la visita del escritor, filósofo y profesor, José Ramón Ayllón.
Este escritor de novela juvenil, ha publicado, entre otras, Diario de Paula y Vigo es Vivaldi , obras trabajadas por nuestros alumnos de 1º y 2º de ESO durante el primer trimestre.
Su visita, ha sido una experiencia enriquecedora para los alumnos, que han ejercido con interés el rol de periodistas, preparando un batallón de preguntas a las que el autor ha intentado dar respuesta de forma amable y divertida.
José Ramón ha manifestado su opinión acerca de la importancia que tiene la lectura en la juventud, nos ha hecho reflexionar sobre el papel que juegan las nuevas tecnologías en la sociedad actual y ha animado a nuestros chicos a sustituir la Wii y la Play por un buen libro.
El autor ha acabado su visita, firmando los libros a los alumnos y recomendando a nuestros jóvenes lectores algunos títulos, a incluir en su currículo lector.

MY EXPERIENCE IN POLAND

My travel to Poland was unforgettable. I lived with Andrea and my Polish girl called Karolina Stoinska in her grandmother’s house. Maria and Miguel Angel lived in Igor’s house and Miguel lived in Kuba’s house. They are very nice.
On Monday, when we arrived in Poland, each of us went with their Polish family. On Tuesday, we met in the Polish school and it was our presentations. We didn’t meet anyone but on Wednesday we met some people from other countries, for example Turkish, Bulgarians, Germans, Portuguese and Italians. On Wednesday we went to Auswitch and we could see this place. On Wednesday afternoon, Andrea and I went to the shopping centre with Karolina and her best friend, called Karolina, too. This evening was perfect because we love shopping and the two girls are very nice and gentle. On Thursday, we went to Krakow and we visited the most important things in this place and the church. We had some free time and it was fantastic because this time was very funny with all the people. On Thursday night we could have gone to a party but we were tired and we wanted only to sleep. On Friday we went to Warsaw. We stayed 4 hours on the bus! But we weren’t bored because we talked with our friends. On the bus we met the French girls, they are very funny. Friday was definitely the worst day because we had to say goodbye to all the people and it was very sad. We cried so much… no one wanted to go back to their countries. On Saturday morning Karolina, Andrea, Miguel Angel, Maria, Igor and me met in one park and we took some beautiful photos and we ate something. Then, Andrea, Karolina and I went to Karolina’s house and Miguel Angel, Maria and Igor went to eat something for lunch. In the afternoon, we went with Miguel together to the shopping centre and we bought some things and we ate, too. On Saturday night, we made the case because next day we went to the airport. On Sunday we wake up very early and we said goodbye to Karolina and her family. I felt very sad and I cried, I didn’t want to go back to Spain. At the airport, we said goodbye to Igor and his family, I cried so much again. We arrived in Spain at 18:15pm. I will never forget this voyage because it was perfectly perfect. I have no words to describe that. This is an unforgettable experience and I think all the people need to try it. The Polish food is very good, and Karolina's family and everyone treated us very well. I want to go back to Poland in summer and I think I will go. I hope to keep in touch with the people I met. I will miss this people very much.

On 28th March I went to Poland for a week. It was an amazing experience because I lived in a new family with new people mew costumes. First of all I met Igor’s mum in the airport and then I met Igor and his sister and his father, they were very gentle. The next day we met the other countries and we made new friends like the Turkish, German, etc they were very nice people.
Then we met the other students Italians, French, Bulgarian, Portuguese and the rest of the Polish students. Then we went to Oswiecim the concentration camp, it wasn’t so nice but it is a part of the history of the World. The next day we went to Krakow and we saw the castle and we heard the history of the Krakow’s dragon. On 1st April we went to Warsaw and we saw the cathedral, it was very big and beautiful. On 3rd April we took the last plane to our houses and it was a sad moment because we had to say goodbye to the family and to our friends. But it was an experience so nice and to repeat, because it was so amazing and you live other life with other people, you make new friends and with only fourteen years you live an unforgettable experience and it is for all your life.

The first day was 28.03.11, we got up at 5:00 and we went to the airport, the plane took off at 7:30. Later we arrived in Poland from Barcelona. At the airport we were picked up by the Polish families. My Polish family was very good, Karolina was the girl of my Polish house. She was my friend, the second day, we went to the high school of Poland and we met a lot of new people, there were Polish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Turkish, Bulgarian and German. We became friends first with the Turkish. They were very nice and very funny. Then we came to speak with the Germans in English, but later the German said: “Nosotros hablamos Español”. And we were left with a silly face. But all people were nice. In Poland, we went to Krakow and Warsaw. In my opinion, Krakow was more interesting and more beautiful than Warsaw. I love Poland because it is very beautiful and in Czestochowa there was a big park where we took photos. The last day, I was very sad, because we went back to the Spain and we said goodbye to our friends. In Alicante, Bea, Maria and I took a photo with Rubén of “Mujeres y Hombres y viceversa”. Finally I think this trip is the best trip ever.

HISTORIA MATEMÁTICA

Matías era un chico muy inteligente de unos 15 años aproximadamente de edad. Vivía en Madrid con sus padres y uno de sus tíos. Adoraba las matemáticas y desde siempre se interesó por ellas. Todos los profesores que tuvo a lo largo de sus cursos académicos alucinaban con él, no sabían que se podía reunir tanta inteligencia matemática en una persona en plena fase de adolescencia. Él apenas veía la televisión, y cuando lo hacía, ponía canales en los que se emitían concursos matemáticos.
Se acercaba la Navidad y él no sabía qué regalo pedir, hasta que un día descubrió que lo único que le faltaba era viajar a una ciudad donde hubiese una academia matemática privada, y se lo dijo a su madre, que no resultó muy convencida. Aún así, la madre de Matías removió cielo y tierra para ponerse en contacto con el director de alguna academia de este tipo y dio con una situada en Estados Unidos, el director se llamaba Richard y era bastante amable.
Una mañana, Matías y su madre iban al colegio en el coche como de costumbre y de pronto un coche golpeó contra el de ellos a una velocidad impresionante.
Matías, desgraciadamente, no llevaba el cinturón de seguridad puesto, por lo que chocó contra el cristal de su coche y lo rompió con la cabeza. Fue un caso muy grave aunque su madre solamente recibió algunos rasguños no muy graves.
Tras pasar un tiempo en el hospital, Matías no recordaba nada de lo ocurrido y decidieron hacerle unas pruebas para comprobar si aún sabía cómo resolver problemas matemáticos y no logró hacer ninguno, ni los más sencillos.
La madre de Matías se desanimó muchísimo al igual que todos sus conocidos, pues sabían que el mayor sueño de Matías era tener un buen futuro relacionado con las matemáticas.
Al cabo de dos días aproximadamente todos se sorprendieron de lo rápido que Matías iba recordando las cosas pero más se sorprendieron cuando le vieron haciendo sudokus porque se aburría. Entonces, los médicos y enfermeros comprendieron que ya se había recuperado lo suficiente como para volver a casa y reposar allí.
Como era muy inquieto, en cuanto podía hacía cualquier cosa que tuviera relación con las matemáticas.
Quedaban solo dos días para que llegase la noche de los regalos y la madre de Matías estaba muy desesperada, pues no sabía si admitirían a su hijo en la academia de Estados Unidos; aun así, no perdía la fe.
Pasaron esos dos días y aún no había recibido la llamada telefónica que tanto esperaba. Como no aguantaba más, decidió ir al instituto y preguntó si sabían alguna noticia sobre la academia de Matías y le dieron la magnífica noticia de que el día 7 de Enero tenía una entrevista con el director de la mejor academia del mundo.
Matías al enterarse de la gran noticia lloraba y todo de la grandísima oportunidad que le estaban ofreciendo.
Un tiempo después les informaron de que Matías había sido admitido. Matías pudo sentirse el niño más feliz del mundo.

WILL THE INTERNET INFORMATION REPLACE THE LIBRARY? WHY OR WHY NOT?

I think the Internet has replaced libraries in the sense that finding information is much easier and much faster.
Anyone can find direct and specific information that is needed, however, if you decide to access to a library it requires a bit of time to look for the book you need for the subject on which you are seeking information. But if you want to read a book, in this case, the Internet is not a substitute for a library, because reading in the pages of a book is easier to reading on a computer screen. This can prevent headaches, eye pains... etc. But the Internet also has several disadvantages. For example, sometimes the value in the Net is not free or need to subscribe to multiple databases, it is often uncomfortable. Neither gives a 100% certainty in the letters that can be found at various sites, there is a lot of garbage on the Internet so you can not trust that it is 100% sure what you are reading.
On the other hand, not all people can enjoy the Internet because it can reach a fairly high price, a price that many people can not afford to pay. Libraries are also not available in all cities. However although many people think it is easier to go to a library or something, in the end everything will be digitized and eventually Internet will be much more powerful than it is today and libraries begin not to do be so necessary, people will not go to the libraries. It increases the percentage of waste to be on the Web, because unfortunately some people are dedicated to send incorrect documents.
I also think the students will be lazy because they have to move less and with a simple copy and paste they will have the job done.

According to the dictionary the word library means a storage place for books, so I think that libraries will not be replaced by the Internet, as there should always be some public place which is responsible for keeping the books.
Moreover, although people use the internet to find information and to almost everything, they also use the library to study, do work, meet friends....
Today most homes have Internet and its use is a convenience by not having to leave home to go to the library.
Some of the amenities of libraries are the advantage of being able to take books to read and not have to buy them.
Here in Torre-Pacheco, it was opened a large library where people come from all over Murcia. In that library we meet several times to do homework, study...
As in almost every house there is internet, in almost every city there are libraries, because these two things are very important and indispensable when searching for information, getting books ...
Some of the major differences between the Internet and libraries are the year of creation of each (library- several centuries BCE, internet-1969) and their advantages.
In libraries, books are grouped into sections according to their themes, the title of the book, etc., while in internet you just type in a search engine you want and this shows you several pages containing the information you seek.
In some libraries such as the one in Torre-Pacheco, there are also some rooms that let you watch or rent movies and also, have access to the Internet.
I think that both the internet and libraries are very important, each for their use, and none of them will replace the other, although not all people think the same thing.

I think the Internet won’t replace the library because sometimes you can find more information than Internet but other times no.
Sometimes in Internet you can find a lot of information but other times no because the things you are looking for are in books or in the library.
Sometimes the information on Internet is always the same because all the pages use the same information, and you need more information or more complete information, other times you don’t find anything about the thing you are looking for and you must find it in a book.
Also the books are culture because we have got very old books and sometimes the books are art because it has got drawings painted by hand.
We need the books because they help us to learn reading, and find us a lot of interesting things about the life, the history... If you read you can learn to write because we see the words and we can write them equal than we read.
It is true the Internet is easier to use, but the books can teach us more things than Internet, because the books have got more variety of information, different opinions.
The library has got another advantage because you don’t have to buy books.
You can go to the library and take them, you don’t need to pay for the books and you can read them calmly in your house.
But if you want to read it by Internet maybe you can’t find it, or get problems with the text and maybe you must pay to read it or you need to buy the book because it isn’t on Internet.
Also the computer is bad for your eyes and if you are a lot of time in front of it you can hurt your eyes and maybe you need to use glasses.
It’s true the Internet is more practical, but sometimes the library has got some advantage. For this I think the Internet won’t replace the library.

In my opinion, the internet information can never replace the library. It could be a supplement, but it will never replace it.
When you look for information in internet you find all kind of items, but when you go to a library it is a little more personal. If you go to a library you can go out from your house, you can go with your friends and you can ask for information to the librarian.
Internet is easier than library, because you look for whatever you like and you don’t have to go out, everything is in the web. You can be alone in your house, without dressing well, only wearing your pyjamas and your slippers.
If the library is closed, you can look for your homework or things for your job, in your computer, only connecting to internet.
In our school, we’ve got something very useful for our homework: mentorvox and moodle. In moodle teachers put our homework and works; mentorvox is a way of information between teachers and parents, parents know about our homework and dates of exams.
In the library, you should consult information in books, and you can also study without anybody disturbing you and making no noise. Here, in Torre Pacheco, we have got a new library, and young people who are studying Bachiller and go to university, go to study there. Young people from El Albujón, La Palma, Roldán….. and other villages come here with their friends to study and do their homework.
Our library is very modern and comfortable, and people come here because they haven’t got one in their village.
It’s our responsibility to look for the use of the library and also to use the internet, because we don’t have to go against the progress.

The first library was built in III B.C. and little by little the building of libraries has evolved increasingly.
Currently, many people use libraries to read, study, find information…
They are many libraries around the World, but there are fewer people using libraries, mainly because more people have Internet at home and it is more comfortable.
Sincerely, I think that at some point the libraries will disapear. Gradually more people have Computers at home with Internet and they don not have to go to find information, to do Works, read a book… It is more convenient and faster to do it at home with your computer as it does it in a moment.
As there are few people who use libraries they are becoming less useful. I believe that although they disappear there will always be some.
Although it is becoming less, they are still many people (especially of the university) who are going to libraries to find books, study, to meet people…
Computers are very numerous and in many houses they are also many laptops that are more comfortable and can be easily carried. Internet is having great influence on this issue and has many advantages but there are also disadvantages: it is bad for the environment because the Computers consume energy and the most of the time they are plugged to the electric power, and more if they are being used every day, they produce an economic cost, sometimes unnecessary.
I think in the future libraries will be little use, but they will not disappear completely as they have always been helpful and some are spectacular.
Definitely, Internet is a breakthrough but libraries, too.

In the past, the library was a great book for the human, all the information they wanted to look for would be found in the library, for example in a dictionary or an encyclopaedia. Little by little the human evolution was evolving and they started creating computers, a few more effective and fast devices to find information. Today all the students have a computer in their house where to search a word in the virtual dictionary, some biographies in the wikipedia or any other thing, and the dictionaries and the encyclopaedias we left them aside, since we think that it is a loss of time to look for it there having a computer and Internet where everything can be found.
I think that the Internet will replace the libraries because I continue saying and repeating that the Internet is more effectively and quicker than to go to the library and to look for it in a dictionary, but simultaneously I think that it is good to search in Internet but also to be able to choose well the information because it is possible that you find some information that is wrong or erroneous, in a dictionary it is not serious necessary to take care because everything you find there is quite perfect.

I think in the end Internet would eventually replace the libraries because most young people use Internet a lot because you can get the information faster and every day people create their own WebPages and make their mail and go into social networks to communicate with friends.
In some schools teachers when they send work to their students they advise them to seek information on the Internet. In addition there are few people who no longer go to the libraries to find what they want in encyclopedias or atlas now they turn to the Internet but the Internet can have its consequences, such as the information is not secure and many people use the translator for English problems and sometimes the translator gives the wrong information and when they have to seek for a definition people do not think there are dictionaries because the first thing that comes to their mind is to put it on the Internet because they want the fastest information possible.

I have a very clear opinion on the issue of whether the Internet will replace libraries. I think that libraries will not stop being used altogether but far fewer people will go to them because to go to a library does not matter the day nor the inclination to do that because if you have to go no matter none of that, another issue is that they are so big that you always have to ask for help to find what you want because there are so many books, but the internet is much faster, more comfortable, and even much more accurate in finding what you want. It is much easier to find books you want to read in a library than looking on the internet that often takes a lot of trouble finding sections.
In conclusion people will not reduce their participation to go to libraries but it will be greatly reduced.

THE NECKLACE

Mathilde was a very beautiful girl, she married with Monsieur Loisel, and he loves her very much. This girl wasn't happy, because she wants a life more ostentatious (luxurious), that wasn't possible with the salary of her husband. Her husband gave his wife the invitation to a party, but she was angry and she didn't want to go because her clothes were old-fashioned. Her husband gave her money for that she bought a new dress and he told to her that she should ask for a jewel to her friend to borrow. Her friend lent her a nice necklace. Mathilde lost the necklace and she was very worried because if she didn’t return the necklace to her friend she didn’t trust her never again.

Something strange is happening in Ellerton School. In one year, four students were killed in strange circumstances: first was John, then Arizona, then it was time for Summer and, finally, it fell to Phoenix, Darina's boyfriend.
Darina, unable to endure the death of so many people fled to a hill outside. On this hill a cabin was found, which was found inside all their dead friends, including Phoenix.
After that episode, terrible nightmares and faces of their dead friends filled the mind of Darina...

THE GHOST OF THE GREEN LADY BY CAROLINE STEVENS

Billy Harrison is a happy boy about fifteen years old; that all changed when his parents told him they were going to move and he would go to a boarding school.
He had three roommates: Alan, Mark and James.
All started when his roommates told him the story of the Duke Sebastian of Coxley, he died on 1 February, he appeared his beloved dead day of his death anniversary every year.
That story interested Billy very much, and he decided to go to the library to research and he decided to go to the lake on the 1º day of February.
His friends decided to help him for the mission, and they used Billy’s spy equipment.
That mission makes kids have a lot of troubles but they will discover a lot of unsolved mysteries.
But finally, it’s true the legend of the ghost of the green lady?*

¿Qué serán las bibliotecas el día de mañana?

Las bibliotecas hoy en día sirven para estudiar y para leer. En una biblioteca se encuentra toda clase de libros, de acción, de miedo, comics, etc.
¿Pero alguien ha pensado lo que podría ser mañana? Mi opinión es que las bibliotecas siempre van a estar abiertas para todo, para poder estudiar sobre todo.
Las bibliotecas no solo están las publicas, también hay bibliotecas online, si nos metemos en internet también podemos encontrar libros para leer, mi opinión es que nada va a cambiar, por lo menos en los 15 próximos años.
Aunque en mi opinión también creo que se le van a añadir algunas cosas, como por ejemplo en las mesas abran ordenadores, para que la gente no se tenga que llevar el suyo para estudiar.
Tampoco se puede hablar, solo para consultar alguna duda en voz alta, por que si no molestamos a los demás, eso creo que tampoco cambiará.

El futuro de las bibliotecas

La biblioteca digital puede entenderse de diferentes formas y abordarse desde diferentes campos temáticos. Esta comunicación resalta el carácter multidisciplinar de las investigaciones que se están llevando a cabo e identifica las principales líneas de trabajo.
Se analizan, además, las repercusiones de este nuevo modelo de biblioteca en el comportamiento y los hábitos del usuario final en la búsqueda y el acceso a la información que precisa. Se examinan, también, los principales cambios que las unidades de información y los distintos sectores de la sociedad deben afrontar para inventar su futuro.
Los libros tradicionales serán sustituidos por los libros electrónicos:
El libro electrónico posee ventajas y desventajas. Es necesario distinguir entre el lector y el libro electrónico. Un lector puede almacenar hasta cientos de libros electrónicos con tarjetas de memoria.
La accesibilidad es el punto fuerte del libro electrónico. Ya que con él se puede leer casi cualquier documento en cualquier lugar, con luz, ya que no tiene retro-iluminación, como es el caso de otros dispositivos de mano; o una computadora. Esto es como leer un libro en papel; sin cansancio alguno para la vista. Otra de las ventajas es que algunos de estos dispositivos tienen lo que se llama “tinta electrónica”. Con tal tecnología el aparato puede ser tan fino que puede llegar a enrollarse como un pergamino, y la sensibilidad del ojo humano es mejor, por lo que puede llegar a estar más horas leyendo sin que la vista se perjudique.

Las bibliotecas en un futuro.
Actualmente las bibliotecas se utilizan básicamemente para el estudio y consulta de materiales didácticos, como por ejemplo consultar libros, revistas, prensa, buscar información de todo tipo…etc.
En un futuro no muy lejano las nuevas tecnologías invadirán las bibliotecas de todos los colegios y podremos disfrutar mejor del estudio además de facilitarnos esas consultas que suelen llevar mucho tiempo y que con el soporte informático será mucho más sencillo. Yo creo que se incorporaran libros y pizarras digitales, numerosos equipos informáticos para su uso público en las bibliotecas municipales.
Queda como incógnita saber que pasara con la gran cantidad de libros utilizados hasta el momento.

Las bibliotecas del futuro
Hasta ahora las bibliotecas han sido espacios de estudio. En ellas había libros de lectura etc.… también ordenadores con conexión a Internet. Las bibliotecas del futuro se plantean con bastante tecnologia. Apenas habrá libros, los libros serán casi todos digitales. En ellos se podrán leer los libros, periódicos, etc.
En los libros digitales podrás ver películas, la televisión y cosas de actualidad por internet.
Yo considero que esto esta bastante bien para ir mejorando nuestra capacidad mental a la hora de estudiar.

MY EXPERIENCE IN ITALY

I have been lucky to have been chosen in the project COMENIUS to travel to Italy as a student, to speak better English, and to have one more experience in my life. Thanks to this trip I have been able to compare the people of my country, with the people of Italy to cultural standard, of way of life, the supply, the ways of acting …; I have learned to coexist with people different from me, with different ways of thinking and of seeing the life, for what this trip has also made me see that the things can be different. I have enjoyed very much, I have laughed very much with other students. Initially I missed my family, my environment, my house … because the change was very big but then you get used to it, because the family that receives you tries that your stay there is excellent and that you do not have lack of anything. The family and the student that received me in their house did not know English very well, but I could practice English with other students of the project (Turks, Germans …). Initially I was very shy and ashamed to approach other students to speak English, in case I was wrong speaking and they laughed at me, but later we did it. Though I have not practiced English with the Italians, I could learn to speak and understand Italian better.

My experience in the Comenius project has been incredible, and I miss a lot of my friends I met in Italy. I have learnt a lot about Italian culture and I have seen many things I like such an Pompeii, Naples, Caserta and much more.

Well I had a great time with my classmates and teachers and I have made many friends from the other countries Portugal, Turkey, France, Italy, Poland, Bulgaria, Germany and it has been an unforgettable experience in my life.

It all began the morning of 8-11-2010. I had a strange feeling, I was traveling alone without my parents for the first time. It was all nervous emotions. How would my family be in Naples? But I was very excited and looking forward to it.
On the arrival there were turbulences as a result of a storm that awaited us in Naples.
When we arrived at the hotel our Napolitan families were waiting for us and when we arrived at the houses the reception was great. My family was the perfect family for me.
Next morning was the big day to meet all participants of this project. On the bus to Pompei we had a good time meeting and talking to the others.
This project is designed to practice your English but it also enriches you as a person from all the experience lived there.
I cannot thank more the family that hosted me for treating me as their daughter.

On 8th November I went to Italy to an exchange with the COMENIUS Project. The flight was very horrible because we had many turbulences and the weather was very bad because there was a storm. When I arrived at my Italian house I was very embarrassed and I didn’t speak any English because they didn’t understand me. The first day was very terrible. The next days were better because we went to Pompei, to Gesualdo, to Mirabella and to Roma. We visited many beautiful places and many important monuments like la Fontana di Trevi, the Vatican and other places. The experience with the Italian children was very great. I meet many friends, Turkish, French, German… My family was very good because they accepted me. The last day was very emotive because no one wanted to go and we were all planning to meet again soon. For me this experience has been unforgettable. Thanks to it I have seen the world, I have met other cultures and a lot of friends.

My experience in this Project has been incredible. I’ve been in my Italian friend, Alesiio’s house. He has a very funny mother and brother and we all laughed a lot. During this time at Mirabella, Naples I went to visit Pompeii, Rome, Salerno, the city of Naples and numerous monuments.
I have made a variety of friends from many countries such as Portugal, Italy, Turkey, France, Germany, Poland and I have communicated very well with them in Italian and English

A TERRIFYING NIGHT

It was a dark night and it was raining heavily. The wind was blowing loudly. My friends and I were in a camp in Granada, in a beautiful valley that by night turns into a gloomy and terrifying place. We couldn’t sleep and it was very cold, our group leaders had decided to get into the forest for firewood to set fire to a bonfire and to try to relax a little until we were very tired and we were sleepy. We managed to rise to the high of the trees to be protected from what it could happen. Meanwhile, we were speaking about diverse topics, but we were bored very much, therefore we decided to tell terror stories. My friend Fran started telling a really terrifying story, the environment of the night helped him to increase the fear in all of us, while he was telling the most terrifying part of the story we heard a noise close to our tents, we were very frightened, some of them got into the tents and others climbed to the high of the trees to protect ourselves from what could happen. Suddenly the group leaders appeared, they were the cause of that noise, and they told us that zone was monitored every day and that we didn’t have to worry about anything. Later we lit the bonfire and we played to very entertaining games, ultimately the night was unforgettable for everybody.

MULTICULTURALISM AND COMENIUS PROJECT

For my the Comenius project that organizes the EU (European Union) along with all member countries, and in which participate students of 2nd cycle of secondary Education, is a great occasion to practice the English language that is its great assignment, but it is also a form that gives us the occasion of knowing other countries’ life, gastronomy, traditions… And we also have the chance to introduce our country, SPAIN. There, we must live with other families to whom we must thank for opening us the doors of their houses and we must also give thanks to the school that receive us in their classrooms for some days. For all this I am delighted for being one of the selected ones for this trip to ITALY ¨THANKS¨

At present the society of all the countries is very diverse culturally, that is to say that, in the same country there are people of different origins, with different ways of seeing the world, with different religions, different ways of thinking, of speaking, with different customs … This cultural diversity is fantastic for people because this way we know other forms of living the life and it helps us to open our mind to other perspectives, to improve as a person. The students' exchanges are a way of stimulating a more multicultural society because we, the students, see these cultural differences that we differ to people of different areas. Another advantage of the cultural exchanges is that it helps us to speak English better because if we want to communicate we have to use this language because it is the common language of the world. The students' exchanges make us more independent, that we are able of taking decisions assuming the responsibility; therefore this helps us to mature, to be more responsible, independent, self-confident… Besides all the advantages that have the exchanges it is an only and unforgettable experience for the student because I will meet new people, and I will change the daily routine to travel to a country to live for one week in the house of someone unknown to me, and I have to speak to this unknown person in English to be able to communicate with him or her, therefore it is something unusual in anyone’s life.
From this trip to Italy I expect it to be unforgettable; I hope to make many friends. I expect to learn diverse customs and ways of seeing the life different from mine that help me to mature and to enrich my knowledge about people. I expect to enjoy the trip very much, to laugh, to see spectacular things (as the most emblematic monuments of Italy …). I would also like this trip not to finish here but I would like to continue in touch with all the students that I will meet in the trip.
I am very satisfied to have been chosen to form a part of this project and sincerely I am going to try to enjoy it to the maximum so that the memories of my experience as an exchange student are unforgettable in all of my life.

A new way to exchange customs, hobbies, ways is THE cultural exchanges. These are essential for human beings as they share new experiences such as how to dress and eat. We must learn or know a few languages in our life and these trips that are made to learn how to develop the language, not only written but also oral understanding with others. In this trip we will learn to live with people of other traditions with whom we share their way of living day to day and spend most of the time and for sure we will make a variety of friends. We will go to different places and visit a school. In it we will learn to live with others, i.e. within the same space we will exchange different cultures, such as Spanish, English, Italian...
In summary, we will not only establish a relationship with others, but we will also start a comprehensive tour, which is more than images, stories, signs, information, customs...

In our school there is multiculturalism. In classes students from all countries come together and we exchange many things, they give us many things from their countries to learn. Now I’ve been selected for a project called Comenius; it’s about multiculturalism.

We are going to Italy, Naples, and we are staying at someone’s home with their family and what they do everyday. We will take their habits and we will eat with them too. Their families will teach us new manners, for example: going to the bathroom, sleeping and typical things from their country.

I think that we will learn a lot and the most important thing is that we’ll practice our English.

In my village there are Moroccans, Indians, Ecuadorians, etc. And there is a huge exchange of cultures. There are some that take it bad and say that there are many foreigners, but I like multiculturalism because we learn more about other cultures and other countries.

Comenius is a cultural project in which the 14 -17 year-old pupils do exchanges with other countries of the European Union. This project is done every two years and it is about a topic, this year is about the use of the T.I.C. to promote reading and writing. With this project teachers want to promote the use of the international language, English, because of it to any country where students go away for an exchange they have to communicate by means of this one.
From this exchange, I expect an unforgettable experience, which makes me see world and be able to learn from this experience, to be able to meet people from other countries, coexist with them, with their customs, their families … well, to learn from them and that they could learn from me and of my culture.
Also I want to take advantage of this opportunity that they give me, to be able to practice my English since it is a very important language because with it, you can go everywhere, so much cultural as to work. And I would even like to be able to learn a bit of their mother language since I’m interested in learning other languages.

ENDANGERED ANIMALS

The main reasons there are so many endangered species in the wild now are due to:
Habit Destruction-When changes occur in a fast time individual animals don’t have time to adjust to those changes. Human activity usually causes habit destruction (pollution, hunting…) Soils in forests are lacking nutrition’s that grow plants and therefore many animals die from hunger.
Introduction of exotic species-These species are introduced into new environments because of human activity, either intentionally or accidentally. Introducing exotic species put native species in jeopardy by preying on them.
Overexploitation- There is a strong market for such things like: rhino horns, zebra skin, tiger bones …etc .Some of these things make traditional medicines and are on constant demand.
Diseases and Pollution- If plants don’t grow and animals go hungry their immune systems break down as well, letting certain diseases take disastrous affects on animals.

ZEBRA

The most common zebras (found in Africa) are the Burchell’s zebra. They are closely related to horses and donkeys however have white and black stripes and are unique to each individual. The black and white stripes on the body camouflages them and their legs are great for running away from or injuring anything that might threaten them. There diet consists of grass, herbs, twigs, leaves and bark. Zebras are an endangered species because hunters hunt them for their skin and lions kill them to eat. They are also endangered animals due to climate change and contamination.

WOLVES

There are many reasons why wolves are endangered animals. Many people were afraid of wolves and annoyed that they ate people’s cattle and sheep, therefore, received money for hunting them. This was called “Bounty Hunting”. Some people still receive money for bounty hunting these days. They also used to poison wolves, which is one of the main reasons there are so few left. There are great debates over wolves. While some people think that they should be hunted to the point of extinction, others thing it should be forbidden. Though many people don’t realise, wolves help little animal by keeping their predator in check and by letting eat the wolves leftovers.

An Endangered Animal: The blue whale

The blue whale is one of the most endangered animals in the world. These animals are the biggest of the animals, because it is 30 meters long. Today there are only between 5 thousand and 12 thousand specimens of this animal.
Why is the blue whale endangered? The blue whale lives in the ocean. Years before, the hunting of whales was excessive, because people make use of all parts of the whale. The blubber is used for making oil, the bones and the meat are used for eating. Also the blue whales suffer impacts with the ships in the high seas and they can stay caught in the networks of fishing. In addition, the increase of the noise produced by the human in the ocean (for example the sound) impedes the communication of the whales. The blue whales are migratory and they spend the summer in high latitudes, where they feed in waters in abundance of krill. In winter they move to hotter latitudes, where they form a pair and give birth. Their migration is based on the temperature of the ocean, a change would alter everything. The change of the temperature of the ocean would also concern their supply of food, since it would provoke a change in situation and abundance of the krill.
How can people help the Blue Whale survive? In 1967 the hunting of the Blue whale was prohibited for an international agreement. It is necessary to reduce the poaching with more vigilance in the sea. It is necessary to try to do that to sound damages less to the whales, controlling where they move to, that people don’t catch them with the networks of fishing, and to try that the global warming doesn’t increase more.
To sum up, together with the associations of protection of animals in danger of extinction, with more vigilance in the sea and avoiding increase the global warming, the number of whales will increase.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF VIDEO GAMES AND COMPUTER ACTION GAMES

Computer action games have more disadvantages than advantages. The only advantage of action games is that they are entertaining. Currently, they are trendy.
Part of the crowd that plays computer action games is children and they do everything that they can see.
Computer action games are a bad example for children. In addition another disadvantage is that theses computer action games are very addictive and many children much time playing these games and the children break the habit of playing educational games.
I believe that children now do not have the same education as previously because now children play computer action games and before they played educational games.

Play station and video games are trendy. It is a new fashion to meet friends at home to play video games. However it is not good at all.

On the one hand, playing video games or computer action games makes yourself be entertained and if you play with a friend or with your family you will have more emotion than if you play alone.

On the other hand, playing video games in the computer or in the play station could be a very bad influence on people. When you are playing video games you are inside, you do not have social relationships and it could produce a very bad influence in your mind. For example, a few years ago I saw on the news that a boy, about 17 years old had killed his family with a sword because of the video games. That boy spent his time playing action video games which showed a man killing people. Then, the boy went crazy and killed his family.

In short, sometimes a pastime could be a very bad influence on people and it could cause a disaster, but, normally it is a pastime that you can use with friends.

MY EXPERIENCE IN PARIS

On 25th May we took a plane to Paris to take part in the Comenius Project our school is involved. I had a good trip because I met people from other countries. I stayed in a house with a French girl and her family. I have learnt a lot of English and French.
I tried different types of food from other countries and I didn’t like cuscus.
I think it has been a good experience and I would do that again.

Last Tuesday 6 students and 2 teachers took a plane to Paris to participate in the Comenius project. The students stayed in the house of French students. I stayed in a boy’s house and a Polish girl was there, too. His family was very nice and friendly.
We have learnt a lot of English and French. We went to eat food from other countries.
I think it is a good experience that I would repeat again.

The trip has been very funny. The family was very friendly, but food was horrible. My friend likes table tennis and bowling. They went to bed very early.
We visited the Eiffel Tower which is very big and impressive. We also visited Notre Dame, the Arch of Triunfe, the Place of Concorde and the Obelisk and I also saw the Statue of Liberty.
The boys and girls that participated in Comenius are very shy.
We ate in an Arabian restaurant, in a Russian restaurant and in a Chinese restaurant.
I have liked it a lot and I would repeat the experience again.

The trip to Paris has been very funny. We have been with a French family. My family was very gentle, but I didn’t know they had a dog. And they went to bed very early.
I had a wonderful time with my family and the people from other countries. We ate in many different places, in an Arabian restaurant, in a Russian one, in a creperie.
Every day we took the bus and the underground to go from the school to the city centre.
I would repeat this experience again.

The trip has been very beautiful. I didn’t know much English or French, but at the end I learnt.
The family was very good and very friendly, but the food was horrible.
The Eiffel Tower is very big and beautiful although I was a bit afraid when I was in the lift up to the top.

We went to Paris. I lived with a family. The mother’s name is Silvy, she was very kind. Mark is the father. He and his son Mark are very shy. The girl’s name is Virgine, she was very friendly. I slept in Virgine’s bedroom.
I spoke English and French and I met many people from different countries (Italy, Germany, Portugal, Poland, Bulgaria, Turkey).
We visited the Louvre Museum, the Eiffel Tower, the cathedral of Notre Dame and some other places.
We ate in different restaurants Arabian, Russian, Italian, French.
I liked this travel, it was very funny.

POLICE SPEECH ABOUT THE RISKS IN SOCIETY FOR TEENAGERS: DRUGS, BULLYING, STREET BANDS, DANGERS OF INTERNET

The police came to our school to give us a speech on the dangers in society for teenagers.

First, they commented about the school environment, it is very important to have a good school environment for a good development of people personality. Other item is aggressiveness. It is a thing that we have from our birth but in some people it develops too much and the result is violence; it also develops race violence, a dramatic item that is always present on television, newspapers, and the news.

Drugs also influence on people. There is no difference between soft drugs and tough drugs because both cause addition and irreversible damages for humans’ health. People call soft drugs to tobacco and alcohol, and tough drugs to cannabis, cocaine, heroine, etc; but the police said that if you start taking cannabis you finish taking heroine and more dangerous drugs.

They also talked about street bands that influence people to have a bad behaviour.

And finally, internet, it is a great place where you can find all type of information and useful news, but here are people interested in using internet to cause damage, for example old people who chat with children. We should not give personal information on chats or public websites, it can be dangerous for us and our family.

We have to communicate and report all strange situations we see or we live.

Last Friday my friends and I attended a speech on the social dangers. The speech was exposed by a policeman who I spoke to us on the aggressiveness as the main reason of all the consequent problems since he believes there is an emptiness in the own person and in his environment. This impedes the social relations for what the person becomes more aggressive. I liked this information because I did not know it before.

Later he spoke to us about bullying which many children suffer in the high schools or in their social life and they are isolated by other partners in the class. He also spoke to us about the street bands that frighten others and they can end committing drug dealing or other crimes.

Finally the policeman spoke on the dangers that the internet use carries on youngsters since these can be defrauded or threatened by many types of people who only care about their personal well-being.

The speech was very interesting and entertaining for me and it was very easy to catch the messages that they wanted to transmit and in addition it allowed us to learn new social problems and to be able to avoid them.

On 7th May, that is last Friday, two policemen from Torre Pacheco police station gave us a speech about issues of actuality such as drugs, the dangers of internet, street bands and other issues.

They showed us a PowerPoint. In this report they explained the different kinds of drugs for example alcohol, heroine, tobacco and many others.

They also talked about the dangers of internet when they showed the dangers of several windows, for example: sects, pornography. The policeman explained that a lot of people do windows which are a fake.

In the PowerPoint they also talked about bad groups or associations when it showed different groups and street bands.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF INTERNET.

Young people spend a lot of time surfing on the internet. More and more children are using computers today. Computer use has got advantages and disadvantages. Some people are asking themselves: Should children be allowed to use computers?

On the one hand, many parents give their children a computer. Today, parents often work long hours, therefore they can’t control their children and they spend a lot of time at the computer.

It is good to have a computer because children can learn information, chat with friends, meet new friends, find information work sent at school, play learning games,; but it is bad to have a computer because children forget their homework and housework, get obsessed and don’t fall asleep.

In conclusion, I think that before having a computer you have to be responsible and know that there are more obligations and you can also get information from an encyclopaedia and a computer isn’t necessary.

For me internet is very cool because I can write to my friends and family. As a matter of fact, I can study for the exams and I can receive information from the school when I do not go to school.

INTERNET DANGERS

Internet is a very efficient way to obtain information that is necessary to use adequately. Teenagers and children can be deceived by paedophiles, or others that want to deceive us to obtain information about us and our families thanks to our ignorance and vulnerability. We mustn’t speak with strangers, we mustn’t reveal confidential information through internet, and we mustn’t stay with people that we have known in chats.

Many viruses can enter into our computers when we open certain pages, many people can steal the account of e-mail. Besides there are internet zones that aren’t fit for certain ages and that can hurt the innocence of the person; these pornographic pages can appear at any moment in an unexpected form. In internet there are pages that foment smoking, violence, drugs, … and it is necessary to avoid this.

I went to Paris on 26th January with my friends and teachers. We arrived in Paris at 10.00 in the evening. When we were in the airport, a chewing gum stuck on my trousers, it was disgusting.

We slept in a hostel, it was very bad. We visited Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, The Defense, The Opera and some other monuments. One night we sailed in a boat in the river Seine. We had some difficulties because on the flight back there was some turbulence. On the trip we travelled by plane, by bus, by boat and by subway.

I liked Paris very much because it is beautiful and the Eiffel Tower is impressive!

What would you like to do if you went abroad for learning English?

If I travelled to a country to learn a foreign language I would like to have fun while I learn the language.
Also, I would like to do many activities like meeting new people, visiting important sites of this city and knowing the culture and customs. For example, if I travelled to London I'd like to visit Big Ben, the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey and the British Museum, along with other landmarks of the city. Of course all this would come into the activities I have to do.

The truth is that if you visit a country to learn the language, the first days are a little sad because I would be away from my family and people who want me but I think I would adapt quickly because undoubtedly learning another language is something I would love.
Honestly, if I went to another country I would like to meet people from that country not only to learn the language but to feel better and have someone to trust. I would love to integrate well and help me to adapt because it would not be easy. I would go camping outdoors, practise sport activities such as football, volleyball, rugby, surfing etc, and other group activities to meet people. I would also make typical Spanish food such as tortilla and learn about their typical meals.

But what I would like is not only to learn the language but knowing people who I truly can trust and be friends that I can visit and they can visit me for a journey to learn a language I think it is wonderful because you get to discover things you would never believe. I think that learning a language is fabulous and it is a unique experience.

I would love to learn another language and about another country.

If I went abroad for learning English, I would like to live my own life. I think that going abroad is the best form to learn a new language because you can only relate with the population by speaking their language, for that, you must learn their language. There is not another possibility.

Learning languages is the best thing we can do and the most useful thing, of course.
For travelling, to know a language is an advantage because you can travel without any problems to communicate with other people.

Abroad, I would like to rent a house inside of a University or a centre where there would be people; I would not like to be alone in a house. I also would like to travel with a friend, a sibling or someone who I know, so she or he would also want to learn a new language. I would not like to be for abroad many years, it is a very long time, I would prefer to stay abroad for ten months or a year.

After I had done the first travel, if I wanted it, I would like to repeat, to travel to other countries and to learn very different languages.

If I went abroad for learning English I would like to travel to London because I went two years ago and I like London very much. I would like to study three hours in the morning and next in the afternoon play football, basketball or another sport with my friends. I would like to study English for learning and talking better but not all the time, because this would be boring, we would study but we would play, too. And at night we would meet with other people in the camp. I would like to stay only one week, because more time can be boring and the monitors would organize excursions and the travel can be more entertaining.

If I went abroad for learning English I would like to go to a camp with foreign students, they don’t have the same language than I and therefore the single way of communication would be talking English. In this camp I would like that there were log cabin where a group of girls or boys sleep and therefore we could talk and we could establish friendship. I would like that the monitors were English and each of them was responsible for a group of boys and girls. With them, we could do many activities: games, English classes, sports, parties, hiking… I would like that this camp was done in summer and that it lasted one month. Besides I would want that the camp was very well equipped with material, installations…
Another thing that I would like to do is to travel to the house of another girl of my age, with her previously I would speak and meet. I would like that this travel was to United Kingdom. This trip would also be done in summer.
I would do this travel in summer. I would do many activities with her (go to the swimming pool, meet her friends…); I would do everything with her. In this way I would improve my English very much.

If I went abroad for learning English, I would like to mix with foreigners for learning their language, their habits, their culture… I would like to know what type of food they like. Especially, I would like to learn the language so I can communicate with them. I have always been good at languages. And I like travelling, too but especially outside Spain. I like travelling outside Spain, knowing the world and other people that do not speak my language I have always dreamed about meeting an English person. He teaches me his language and I teach him my language. He teaches me about his country, his house, his family and his friends. I always ask my father that we speak in another language that is not Spanish to practice some language that I study (English, French and Italian). It is a bit difficult for me to speak, but I have a big vocabulary. If I went abroad, the first thing that I would do is to improve my speech.

On 12th January, 2010, something very bad happened in Haiti. An earthquake moved the earth and many people died. Why did it happen? Some children from Haiti have been taken to other countries to have a new family because some families have died.

The book is called “The Call of the Wild”, by Jack London. The main characters are Buck, the young dog, Francois and Perault.

The story is about the dog and his adventures. When the men buy the dogs they tie the harness to a sled, after that they hit them with the whip and the dogs begin to run; this is going to be their job.

There is an ugly dog called Spitz. Buck and Spitz are not friends; they have got a difficult relation. At the end Buck kills Spitz and Buck becomes the leader of the dogs.

Solidarity is a charity carried out by people to help others, especially poor children who are hungry and need a lot of things that we have. Therefore, large companies are formed as an ONG (Caritas, Manos Unidas), who organize events to raise food, clothes and money in every way possible, such as asking for help in schools for students to bring food, clothes, toys ... and as they say to "make our small contribution."

At our school, there was a torch that was taken from one town to another to express that we should be more supportive, as there is a large percentage of people living on the street. All these people are waiting for people like us to feel sorry for them and let them get a hand so that some day they can have decent living conditions.

The Solidarity Torch

On 24th November, 2009, the students of 1º of ESO went to pick the Solidarity Torch to the church “Virgen del Pasico”. Once there, we collected one torch, symbol of solidarity, and some people explained us how we had to take the torch and what we had to do to the get to the school with it. In the small church, when we took the torch, we walked to the school, and when we got there, some people gave us a speech on solidarity. We must be supportive with the people who have less than us. The people, who gave us the speech, were of an ONG, volunteers of Caritas. They work helping the others without receiving anything in return. They showed us one film about the people who don’t have the same as us: they lived in slums; they were hungry, lived in the streets…. There are many organizations that help the people in need: Caritas, Manos Unidas…
There, they welcome the people; they give them food, etc. In the torch appeared a symbol that was four hearts that looked to the four sides (North, South, East and West). This means they help all the people in all places of the world.

WHAT IS SOLIDARITY FOR YOU?

Solidarity is one of the most important gifts of the human being. For me, solidarity consists of helping the poor people without receiving anything in return.
At present there exist many supportive people, and thanks to them there exist solidarity organizations, their principal occupation is helping people without economic recourses, providing them food, clothes, a place where to sleep…
But also, there are many ambitious people that only worry about themselves and about nobody else. Some solidarity organizations are: Caritas and United Hands. These organizations have got some symbols or objects that represent solidarity. A clear example of these symbols is the solidarity torch, which crosses towns and cities making us conscious of the lack of food, clothes… in the poorest people.

You share your feelings with your friends, you do all with your friends, and the most important thing is that they would give anything to you.

A friend is someone special, someone to trust, and someone that you can support.

If you have friends, the life is easier.

Between friends and family you create a world and with them you do everything.
In general, a friend is someone who helps you in the saddest and the happiest moments. He/she helps you if you have to make a decision or if you have to choose something.

A friend is like your family.

Writing about friendship

For my the friendship is to have the trust in a person to be able to tell him/her your things and to be sure that he/she won't tell anything, the person that will be with you in the good and the bad things and he/she will never leave you alone when you have a problem.

He/she is the person that will give you advice and he/she will never let you to fall in the bad things. I think that everybody thinks that everybody is their friends and that they will never fail him/her, but friends are really a few.

I have learned how to value the word friendship, to know how to choose the friends and know up to where the friendship can arrive. That you should not make what the person with whom you join is making if it is bad so that he/she accepts you because he/she will never be your friend he/she will only make you have problems and that you begin to change your attitude in front of everything.

But you should always know how to value a friend.

What is friendship for you?

For me friendship is for life but it has to be a good friendship with lots of trust and no lies.
Otherwise it is just acquaintances, but real friendship goes on for years and years.
As in say you left school and 30 years later in the school reunion your real friends will still say hello to you.
Friends that stab you in the back are not real friends and the ones that say horrible things behind your back aren’t either.
All the friends that I have had now I have still only got one.
And I have been friends with her for 4 years.
Friends once in a while are bound to have little fights like disagreements but they will pass in a day or two.
With your friend they are always bound to make you laugh and they will make you happy when you are down.
Life without friends would just be lonely and no one should be alone in the world so making new friends is good.

It all began when I was 10 years old. First, I used to play alone, but one day I was playing with my games in the street in the evening and I saw a girl that was in the corner.
I went to speak with her and shortly after that we were playing together.
In a few months we decided to go to the mountains to spend a day. It was a good experience. I have never been so happy with a person, because I have never had a friend as my friend Maya.

¿Que es la amistad?

La amistad para mi es una de las cosas más importantes de la vida junto a la familia y a otras cosas.
Con los amigos se pueden hacer muchas cosas.
Hay amigos mejores y amigos peores. Un amigo hace por ti lo que sea bueno siempre que sea un buen amigo.
Te puede ayudar si tienes algún problema.
Con él compartes las mejores experiencias de la vida y con él sales de fiesta o te quedas en la puerta.
Con tus amigos compartes tus sentimientos, con tus amigos haces de todo y lo más importante es que darían lo que fuera por ti.
Un amigo es algo especial algo en lo que confiar algo en lo que te puedes apoyar.
Si tienes amigos la vida es más fácil.
Entre los amigos y la familia te creas un mundo y con ellos haces de todo.
En general el amigo es el que te ayuda en los momentos más tristes y en los más alegres. Te ayuda si tienes que tomar una decisión o si tienes que elegir entre algo. El amigo es como si fuera de tu familia.

Redacción sobre la amistad

Para mi la amistad es tener la confianza en una persona para poder contarle tus cosas y estar seguro de que no va a contar nada, la persona que va a estar contigo en lo bueno y lo malo y nunca te va a dejar sola cuando tengas un problema.

Es la persona que te va a dar consejos por tu bien y nunca te va a dejar que caigas en lo malo. Yo creo que todo el mundo piensa que todos son amigos suyos y que nunca le van a fallar, pero amigos de verdad se tienen pocos.

Yo he aprendido a valorar la palabra amistad, saber elegir los amigos y saber hasta donde puede llegar la amistad. Que no debes hacer lo que esté haciendo la persona con la que te juntes si está mal para que ella te acepte porque esa nunca será tu amiga sólo va a hacer que vayas teniendo problemas y que empieces a cambiar tu actitud frente a todo.

Pero siempre debes saber valorar a un amigo.

LA SOLIDARIDAD Y LA ANTORCHA SOLIDARIA.

La solidaridad es uno de los dones más importantes del ser humano. Para mí, la solidaridad consiste en ayudar a las personas necesitadas sin recibir nada a cambio.
Existen actualmente, muchas personas solidarias, y gracias a ellas existen organizaciones solidarias, cuya principal ocupación es ayudar a las personas sin recursos económicos, proporcionándoles alimento, ropa, un techo donde dormir, ....
Pero también, hay muchas personas ambiciosas que solo se preocupan de ellos mismos y de nadie más. Algunas de las organizaciones solidarias más importantes son: Caritas y Manos Unidas. Estas organizaciones poseen algunos símbolos u objetos que representan la solidaridad. Un claro ejemplo de estos símbolos es la antorcha de la solidaridad, que recorre los pueblos y ciudades concienciándonos a todos de la carencia de alimento, ropa... en las personas más necesitadas.

El día 24 de Noviembre de 2009, los alumnos de 1º de ESO fuimos a recoger la Antorcha Solidaria a la Ermita de la Virgen del Pasico. Una vez allí, recogimos una antorcha, símbolo de la solidaridad, y unas personas nos explicaron como teníamos que coger la antorcha y que teníamos que hacer al llegar al colegio con ella. En la Ermita, al coger la antorcha, fuimos hacia el colegio andando, y al llegar, nos dieron una charla sobre la solidaridad. Debemos ser solidarios con las personas que tienen menos que nosotros. Las personas que nos dieron la charla, eran de una ONG, voluntarios de Caritas. Ellos trabajan ayudando a los demás sin recibir nada a cambio. Nos pusieron una película sobre las personas que no tenían lo mismo que nosotros: vivían en chabolas, pasaban hambre, vivían en las calles.... Hay muchas organizaciones en las que ayudan a las personas que lo necesitan: Caritas, Manos Unidas...
Allí, acogen a las personas, les dan de comer, etc. En la antorcha aparecía un símbolo que eran 4 corazones que miraban para los cuatro lados (norte, sur, este, y oeste) Esto significaba que ayudaban a todos las personas de todos los lugares del mundo.

La solidaridad es una obra de caridad que realizan las personas para ayudar a otras, sobre todo, a los niños pobres que tienen hambre y necesitan muchas cosas de las que tenemos nosotros. Por eso, se forman grandes empresas como ONG (Caritas, Manos Unidas), que organizan actos para recaudar alimentos, ropa y dinero de todas las maneras posibles, como por ejemplo pedir ayuda en los colegios para que los alumnos traigamos comida, ropa, juguetes,…y como dicen para que “pongamos un granito de arena”.
A nuestro centro, llegó una Antorcha solidaria que iba de un pueblo a otro para expresar que debemos ser más solidarios, ya que hay un gran porcentaje de personas viviendo en la calle. Todas esas personas están esperando que alguien como nosotros nos compadezcamos de ellos y les echemos una mano para conseguir que algún día tengan unas condiciones dignas de vida.

MEETING IN ISTAMBUL

STUDENT’S LETTERS

The travel started when we went to the bus station. The travel was long, a long time, but it was worth. When I arrived in Istambul, Serap and her family were waiting for me at the school. The family was the best comenius project family. Serap’s and Yunu’s families are the best.
Serap’s house is very big. She lives in a flat.
I love Istambul the Blue Mosque, the Basilica and the other places we visited in Istambul, they are all impressive. Istambul is a good city, it is a cultural city. The best place is the Big Bazaar where you can buy very cheap things.
When we left for Spain, the Turkish people cried because we were coming back home. It was a very sad farewell. And when we were in the plane we also cried thinking about the friends we had left in Istambul.

When we went to Istanbul (Turkey), we were in different houses and every student had a Turkish girl or boy. The first day, we went to high school and all the students had lunch in the high school, and we saw the logo of the different countries. The next day, we went to visit Saint Sofia, Cistern Basilica and the Blue Mosque. After that, we went to visit the Aquarium. When I was with the family, we went to different places. My family and I went to visit their family and we passed the Bósforo and we went to the Asian side of Istanbul. The last day, when we would go to Spain, the farewell was very sad, because we were very good friends. I miss Beril a lot of, but we speak every day on the messenger.
Istanbul is very pretty and if we need go to Istanbul, I will go again.

The trip to Turkey has been an unforgettable experience for me. At fist I was a bit nervous, but then I was very happy because people were very friendly, they welcomed us as a member of their family. You learn to relate to others, meet new people and in just five days you make friends.
Istambul is a beautiful city and on the excursions you have a good time, take pictures with everybody and share laughs.
You know new habits, new food and Turkish tea. And at the end we all loved each other and cried. The truth is that it is a very nice memory and I would do that again if I could.

When we got to Turkey, it was very strange to see all the differences. We got there and everything was perfect. I had a wonderful family and everybody I met was very good. They were from Poland, Germany, Portugal, Bulgaria, France, ... everything was great. We visited several museums, but what surprised me most was Ottoman with its dome. I tasted the authentic Turkish kebab, which incidentally is super spicy but delicious.
I would like to repeat the trip.
I miss Turkey.

SPANISH STUDENTS’ LETTERS

On November 16 students selected for the "Comenius" project left for Faro in Portugal. We reached the city at approximately 2:30 am.
The next day we went to introduce the school to all project countries.
Joao de Deus school where we went to was around 60 years that is almost nothing compared to ours. That was the only day we ate at school, seafood is certainly taken to nap. Well the second day after lunch in Faro we visited the Faro museum. On the third day we went to eat at the beach and after being there for a while we left to our homes. The fourth day on Thursday we went to Sagres, an hour from Faro. We visited the fortress of Sagres, we went for a walk around the town and saw the church-museum of Sagres. Finally on Friday and last day, we left early to Lisbon about four hours from Faro. There we visited the fortress of Belem and Jeronimos Monastery. At one o'clock in the morning we were at the bus stop to start a fourteen-hour desperate trip by coach.
And this way concludes our trip to Faro from sixteenth to twenty-first November.

The trip has been an unforgettable experience that I would repeat many times. You meet a lot of new people, the customs of the country you visit and mainly you make a lot of good friends. You learn to manage with English and you realize that you know more than you thought you knew.
During the trip, in the morning we used to go to the school all the countries together, in the afternoons we used to visit the town and in the evenings we went with the families that hosted us.
The families were very nice with you and tried to give all the best so that you could feel very well.
Food was different to ours but they were very good, so food was not a problem.
This trip has been wonderful and I won’t forget it in my life.

This trip to Portugal within the Comenius Project our school is participating has been very good because we have visited Faro, Sagres and Lisbon. It has been a great experience as we have had the chance to live with teenagers from other seven countries (Portugal, Italy, France, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria and Turkey). We have had a wonderful time sharing beautiful and funny moments. We have learnt a good experience I think that will be useful for our future.

The beginning of the trip was an estrange experience because it was a family you don’t know and they offer themselves to look alter you for a few days. What I liked most from this meeting in Portugal was meeting and knowing how people from other countries are, but what I liked less was the farewell from everybody, farewells are always very bad and they are even worst if you have made very good friend with someone and you know you aren’t going to see them again unless you go to the country.
Faro, the name of the town where we stayed, is a place on the coast which means they eat a lot of fish, but I liked a lot a dish, which wasn’t fish, and we ate in a restaurant near the beach. The dish was with boiled potatoes and turkey with a sauce.
This trip has been an experience I’d like to repeat, but I think a week is very little time, it should be two weeks, because the first week is when you get used to being with the family and on the second you start having a great time.
As a conclusion, if you have an opportunity like this you have to make the most of it.

We should look after our planet because due to pollution, the ozone layer is being destroyed.

The ozone is a form of oxygen whose molecule has three atoms, instead of two of common oxygen. The ozone is a layer that you can find in the atmosphere and it protects us from the ultraviolet rays of the sun. If it was not for that there would not be life on Earth. In 1960 Sir Gordon Dobson discovered that there was a hole in the ozone layer on the continent Antarctic. The hole was produced because we do not look after our planet. We contaminate it with the petrol fumes, chimney smoke, factory smoke, sprays, not recycling properly…. Contamination is the reproduction of dirt and waste that you cannot get rid of. The consequences of contamination are: acid rain, atmospheric impact, climate change, greenhouse effect… The water, air and earth are the main consumers of contamination. What can we do to save our planet? Here we give a few solutions:

1. Transport – Reduce individual transport and use public transport.

2. Domestic energy – Reduce its waste using home appliances that are classed as energy A and turn off appliances completely when not using them.

3. Waste – It helps to separate rubbish with rubbish that can be recycled.

4. Materials – Always re-use (paper, toys, tools, furniture …) when you can and try not to use plastic bags, boxes and wrapping paper.

5. Water – Reduce the consume of water by putting (for example) water bottles in the toilet tank.

6. Watering – Minimize watering your garden.

7. Develop – Only develop where you know that there is sufficient water for a long period of time.

8. Nature – Respect protected places and minimize the impact in nature zones.

9. Construction of houses – Build houses with good waterproof materials so that the heating investment and the air-conditioning is better.

10. Cracks – Make better isolation for windows and doors because between 5% and 10% of heat from houses escapes from them.

19. Education – Educate children in a way that they will help the eco-system.

20. Governments – Demand the sustainable management term of natural resources.

If everyone follows these tips, we will obtain that the planet improves and you will help us. It would be a better world and cleaner for everyone.

COMO PODEMOS CUIDAR NUESTRO PLANETA.

Debemos cuidar de nuestro planeta porque debido a la contaminación, la capa de ozono se está destruyendo.

EL PLANETA TIERRA.
El ozono es una forma de oxígeno cuya molécula tiene tres átomos, en vez de los dos del oxígeno común. El ozono es una capa que se encuentra en la atmósfera y nos protege de los rayos ultravioletas del Sol. Si no fuera por ella no existiría vida en nuestro planeta. En 1960 Sir Gordon Dobson descubrió que había un agujero en la capa de ozono sobre el continente Antártico. Este agujero fue debido a que no cuidamos de nuestro planeta. Lo contaminamos con el humo de los coches, humo de las chimeneas, el humo de las fábricas, con los spray, no reciclando bien etc. La contaminación es la reproducción de suciedad y de residuos que no se pueden eliminar. Las consecuencias de la contaminación son: la lluvia ácida, el impacto ambiental, la degradación del medio ambiente, el efecto invernadero, el cambio climático... El agua, el aire y el suelo son los principales medios contaminantes. ¿Qué podemos hacer para salvar nuestro planeta? Os proponemos algunas soluciones:
1.-Transporte: Reducir el individual y promocionar los medios colectivos.
2.-Energía doméstica: Disminuir su gasto con electrodomésticos de clasificación energética A y apagando los aparatos completamente.
3.-Residuos: Favorecer la separación de basuras y el reciclaje.
4.-Materiales: Reutilizarlos siempre que se pueda (papel, juguetes, herramientas, muebles…) y evitar usar bolsas, cajas y embalajes.
5.-Agua – Reducir su consumo colocando, por ejemplo, botellas en las cisternas.
6.-Riego: Minimizar el riego de jardines y promocionar el sistema por goteo.
7.-Urbanizar: Sólo donde se sepa que habrá agua suficiente a largo plazo. En muchas ocasiones se otorgan licencias donde no hay agua.
8.-Naturaleza: Respetar los espacios protegidos y minimizar el impacto en zonas naturales.
9.-Construcción de casas: Construirlas con buenos materiales aislantes térmicos para que la inversión en calefacción y el aire acondicionado sea menor.
10.-Rendijas: Mejorar los aislantes en ventanas y puertas porque entre un 5% y un 10% del calor del hogar se escapa por ellas.
11.-Paneles solares fotovoltaicos: conectados a la red eléctrica.
12.-Energías alternativas: Darles más valor y estar dispuestos a financiarlas. Si todos las apoyamos, serán rentables, aunque sean más caras.
13.-Impuestos: Permitir que se asignen para la conservación de recursos.
14.-Suelo: Minimizar los cambios de uso del suelo y, en general, del suelo artificial.
15.-Impacto: Dar más importancia a los análisis de impacto ambiental y considerar otras alternativas costosas, pero ambientalmente favorables.
16.-Especies: No trasladarlas fuera de su lugar de origen.
17.-Invasores: No abandonar animales domésticos ni mascotas. Pueden ser especies invasoras.
18.-Productos químicos: Minimizar el uso de compuestos químicos como antibióticos, fertilizantes… y aerosoles.
19.-Educar: a los niños en el valor de los bienes que nos ofrecen los ecosistemas.
20.-Gobiernos: Exigir la gestión sostenible a largo plazo de los recursos naturales.
Si todos seguimos estos consejos, conseguiremos que el planeta mejore y nos ayudaremos. Será un mundo mejor y más limpio para todos.

ACTIVIDAES PRIMER TRIMESTRE: CHARLA SOBRE EL CAMBIO CLIMÁTICO

Tras una charla sobre el cambio climático, calentamiento global y efecto invernadero, los alumnos de 1º A ESO han trabajado en grupos para, tras un pequeño debate, contestar a las siguientes preguntas:

¿Cómo sería el planeta Tierra en el año 3000? ¿Qué podríamos haber hecho en el año 2009 para evitarlo?

Y estos han sido los resultados:

Año 3000

Lagos de basura, desiertos habitan la Tierra, mares de latas y casas inundadas por el deshielo, temperaturas de 50º C y los polos derritiéndose.
Muchos animales extinguidos y también especies animales, bosques sin árboles que se han convertido en desiertos.
Ríos convertidos en pequeños riachuelos de agua contaminada.

Como evitarlo

• Reciclar.
• Proteger los animales en peligro.
• Talar menos árboles.
• Utilizar menos coches y/o utilizar coches ecológicos.

Consecuencias futuras del cambio climático

Soy una periodista del año 3000 y me gustaría saber que podríamos haber hecho para evitar las catástrofes que hay ahora en el año 3000, la vegetación es muy escasa, hay menos oxígeno, se han extinguido los animales, los lagos están secos por el calentamiento global, las montañas se quedarán sin árboles, subirá el nivel del mar e hundirán las ciudades. Esto es lo que creo que va a pasar en el año 3000. Esto se podría haber evitado pero no ha podido ser así.

Consecuencias del efecto invernadero.

La atmósfera tendría un bajo porcentaje de oxígeno y la gente tendría que vivir gracias a máquinas que le proporcionasen oxígeno.
El planeta llegaría a ser afectado por los rayos ultravioletas, es decir, destrozarían la capa de ozono.
No quedarían árboles y estarían sin ríos y sin animales, es decir, habría solamente agua salada, sin agua potable.
Para solucionarlo tendríamos que contaminar mucho menos, es decir, ¡CUIDAR NUESTRO PLANETA!

Contaminación en el año 3000.

Estamos en el año 3000, todo está destrozado. Apenas hay vegetación, gracias a las personas que años atrás contaminaron mares, océanos, etc. Resulta que muchas personas en el año 2007, 2008,… no reciclaban, los coches contaminaban por “soltar” demasiado CO2. Por eso, ahora respiramos con bombas de oxígeno y con dificultades. Todos debemos colaborar para solucionar esta grave problema y fabricar menos cosas contaminantes.

CARTAS DE LOS ALUMNOS DEL VIAJE A PORTUGAL

1er ENCUENTRO COMENIUS 2009-11
FARO, PORTUGAL, 16 – 21 NOVIEMBRE, 2009

El día 16 de noviembre los alumnos seleccionados para el proyecto “comenius” partieron hacia Faro en Portugal. Llegamos a dicha ciudad a las 2:30 de la madrugada aproximadamente.
Al día siguiente fuimos a presentarnos al colegio ante todos los países del proyecto .
El colegio Joao de Deus al que fuimos los países representantes tenía unos 60 años vamos casi nada comparado al nuestro. Ese fue el único día que comimos en el colegio por cierto ahí el marisco se lleva al pelillo. Bueno al segundo día fuimos de visita por Faro y tras comer visitamos el museo de Faro. El tercer día nos fuimos a comer a la playa de Faro y tras estar en la playa un rato nos fuimos cada uno a su casa. El cuarto día, el jueves nos fuimos a Sagres a una hora de Faro que tras visitar la fortaleza de Sagres nos fuimos de paseo por la ciudad y acabamos viendo la iglesia-museo de Sagres. Finalmente el viernes y último día temprano a Lisboa a cuatro horas de Faro en la cual visitamos la Fortaleza de Belem y el Monasterio de los Jerónimos. A la una de la madrugada en la parada de bus a marcarnos unas desesperantes catorce horas en autobús.

Y así concluye nuestro viaje a faro de los días dieciséis a veintiuno de noviembre

Este viaje a Portugal dentro del proyecto Comenius en el que participa el colegio ha estado muy bien ya que hemos visitado Faro, Sagres y Lisboa. Ha sido una gran experiencia pues hemos tenido la oportunidad de convivir con chicos de nuestra edad de otros siete países europeos (Portugal, Francia, Italia, Bulgaria Alemania, Polonia y Turquía). Lo hemos pasado muy bien compartiendo momentos muy bonitos y divertidos. Hemos aprendido una gran experiencia que creo que nos servirá para el futuro.

El viaje a Portugal ha sido una experiencia inolvidable que la repetiría muchísimas veces. Conoces a muchísima gente nueva, conoces las costumbres sobre ese país y sobre todo haces muchísimos amigos buenos. Aprendes a defenderte con el Inglés y te das cuenta que sabes más de lo que piensas…
En el viaje, por la mañana solíamos ir al instituto todos los países juntos, por las tardes solíamos visitar la ciudad y por las noches nos íbamos con las familias que nos acogían.
Las familias eran muy amables contigo y te intentaban dar todo lo mejor que podían para que te sintieses muy bien.
Las comidas eran diferentes a las nuestras pero estaban muy buenas, así que la comida no era ningún problema.
Este viaje ha sido precioso y en la vida se me olvidará.

El principio del viaje era una experiencia extraña, porque es una familia que no conoces de nada y se ofrecen voluntarios para ocuparse de ti durante unos días. Lo que más me gustó de este encuentro en Portugal era el conocer y ver como era la gente de otros países, pero lo que menos me gustó fue la despedida de todos, las despedidas son muy malas y lo son aún más si te has hecho muy amiga de alguien y sabes que no lo vas a volver a ver a no ser que vayas a su país. Faro, que es el nombre de una ciudad portuguesa donde nos alojamos, es un lugar de costa lo cual quiere decir que se come mucho pescado, pero a mí me gustó mucho un plato que no era pescado, que lo tomamos en un restaurante que estaba al lado de la playa. El plato llevaba patatas cocidas y carne de pavo con salsa.
Este viaje ha sido una experiencia que me gustaría repetir, pero pienso que una semana es poco tiempo, tenían que ser dos semanas, porque la primera es cuando te acostumbras a estar con la familia y ya la segunda semana es para pasárselo bien. En resumen que si surgen oportunidades como ésta hay que aprovecharlas muy bien.

PROYECTO COMENIUS CURSOS 2009/10, 2010/11
TÍTULO: “PROMOCIÓN DE LA LECTURA Y LA ALFABETIZACIÓN A
TRAVÉS DE LAS TIC”
RESUMEN.
La habilidad lectora y de comprensión y, más recientemente, también la alfabetización
sólo han sido enseñadas por profesores específicos, profesores de lengua. Como
consecuencia estos profesores han tenido la responsabilidad de desarrollar los hábitos de
lectura de los alumnos así como el dominio de la lengua materna lo cual les habilitará a
adquirir las habilidades/competencias en alfabetización.
Con este proyecto pretendemos promover el hábito a la lectura en los diferentes
colegios que participan a través de la cooperación entre los profesores utilizando las
TIC.
El uso de las TIC en un contexto de aprendizaje más amplio atraerá a los alumnos que
aún no han adquirido los hábitos de lectura, al igual que la propia competencia en
alfabetización. De este modo, el propósito de este proyecto es mejorar la alfabetización
de los alumnos en los distintos países a través de la combinación del uso de las TIC y la
interacción significativa entre los socios.
Un “Club de lectura on-line”, en el cual se recomendarán algunos libros, la promoción
del intercambio de opiniones, la promoción de “Contar historias” y un “Periódico online”
son tareas sugeridas que contribuirán a la motivación de los alumnos, y seguro que
enriquecerá su conocimiento ampliando su s horizontes a través de la oportunidad
provista por el uso de los ordenadores e internet como un modo de mejorar el proceso
de aprendizaje.

actividades del proyecto.
2. Noviembre 2009: reunión en Portugal.
3. Diciembre 2009: Crear un club de lectura on line, así como un blog publicando
historias, poemas, legendas en inglés o español con el tema: Medio ambiente:
reciclar, reutilizar, contaminación, calentamiento global. Libro del trimestre.
4. Enero 2010: crear un logo para el club de contar historias (cuenta cuentos).
Publicar historias, poemas, legendas en inglés o español con el tema:
Multiculturalismo: tolerancia, justicia, amistad, responsabilidad.

libro, recitales (toda la comunidad escolar). Reto: Leer una historia, poema o
legenda y grabarlo en un CD. Video conferencia con los socios para una sesión
de lectura.

9. Octubre 2010: Conocer a un escritor. Concurso para la mejor presentación sobre
un escritor del país.
10. Noviembre 2010: reunión en Italia.
11. Diciembre 2010: Crear un periódico en el blog o impreso con artículos de
los alumnos, noticias del centro y composiciones con el tema: ¿Debería la
información en Internet reemplazar la biblioteca? ¿Por qué? Concurso de
comics: El futuro de la biblioteca en nuestro centro.
12. Enero 2011: Concurso literario para la mejor historia, legenda o poema.
Hacer un libro con todo lo creado.
13. Febrero 2011: Crear un poster con algunas de las actividades del
proyecto.

Crear un CD, “lectura de una historia”, con las historias, legendas o poemas producidos por
los alumnos, en inglés o en su lengua materna.
5 Octubre 2010 Presentación en PowerPoint, hecha por los alumnos, sobre un escritor famoso, “conocer a un
escritor”. De este modo los alumnos buscarán información y ampliarán su conocimiento.

Crear un periódico que será publicado en el blog y permitirá a los alumnos practicar la lengua
y mejorar sus habilidades con el ordenador.
7 Enero 2011 Hacer un libro donde se recogerán todas las historias, poemas y legendas producidas por los
alumnos y que serán seleccionadas en un concurso.
8 Febrero 2011 Un mural que muestre todo el trabajo realizado por los socios. Los alumnos pueden desarrollar
sus habilidades artísticas y con el ordenador.

Una página hecha por el colegio coordinador con el material de cada socio.
OBEJETIVOS DE LA ASOCIACIÓN.
El trabajo en el proyecto Comenius dará una oportunidad a los participantes a aprender
más sobre los países europeos, a adquirir conocimiento en varias diferencias culturales,
y todo esto será útil para la futura colaboración y cooperación entre las diferentes
naciones.
A los colegios les gustaría participar un proyecto de cooperación internacional tal como
Comenius “PROMOCIÓN DE LA LECTURA Y LA ALFABETIZACIÓN A
TRAVÉS DE LAS TIC” para aumentar y conseguir los siguientes objetivos:

· Aumentar el placer de los alumnos por la lectura utilizando los ordenadores del
colegio e internet para este propósito.
· Proveer y animar a los alumnos a acceder a una variedad de actividades de
lectura y programas de lectura utilizando la biblioteca del colegio y las
herramientas TIC.
· Mejorar el aprendizaje de los alumnos y ayudarles a aumentar consecuciones en
el colegio.
· Formular una política escolar para integrar las TIC en los programas de
alfabetización.
· Apoyar los programas de lectura a través de una promoción de la alfabetización
en todo el centro.
· Desarrollar en los alumnos una cultura por el uso de las herramientas de internet
como modo de promocionar la alfabetización.
· Mejorar los hábitos de lectura de los alumnos.
· Promocionar actividades en la biblioteca del colegio que atraigan a los alumnos
a utilizarla.
· Mejorar las habilidades de alfabetización de los alumnos.
· Integrar el uso de internet en el currículo y proporcionar nuevas oportunidades
para aprender.
· Ayudar y enriquecer las ideas de aprendizaje que motivarán y facilitarán el
aprendizaje de los alumnos.
· Mejorar los logros de los alumnos a través del uso de los ordenadores e internet
en el colegio.
· Conciencia de que son ciudadanos europeos lo que les conlleva derechos y
obligaciones.
· Conocer mejor las oportunidades que la Unión Europea puede ofrecer y su
diversidad.
· Mejorar los métodos de trabajo de los profesores, intercambiando experiencias
con compañeros de otros colegios europeos.
· Aumentar la confianza en sí mismo de profesores y alumnos como ciudadanos
europeos activos que son capaces de utilizar las tecnologías innovadoras y son
figuras líderes en el proceso educativo.
· Alentar la interacción y cooperación entre alumnos y profesores de los países
participantes y construir amistad a través de la educación.
· Ayudar a los alumnos a desarrollar habilidades de grupo.
· Permitir a los alumnos que se comuniquen con otros países, descubriendo y
construyendo respeto por otras culturas, sistemas de educación, lenguas
desconocidas y nuevas tecnologías a través del diálogo en internet y la
colaboración en educación.
· Facilitar la participación de los alumnos que tienen desventaja por razones
socio-económicas.
· Mejorar el nivel de inglés de alumnos y profesores y las habilidades con el
ordenador.
· Para alcanzar el éxito en el colegio es fundamental mejorar las habilidades de
alfabetización del alumno, y este proyecto es una oportunidad importante para
motivarlos en la creación de hábitos de lectura.
· El uso de las TIC también les permitirá ampliar su conocimiento en el área de
las tecnologías y hará de la lectura una actividad atractiva.

IMPACTO Y VALOR AÑADIDO EUROPEO.
El propósito de este proyecto es desarrollar la interacción entre los socios conseguir los
propósitos educativos; pretendemos fortalecer el proceso educativo en nuestros colegios
socios así como en los otros colegios locales enviándoles los resultados finales
conseguidos con nuestros socios. El impacto en los participantes será el enriquecimiento
de la cultura educativa a través de la gran variedad de actividades basadas en el respeto
por diferentes pueblos y culturas.
El proyecto tendrá impacto en diferentes niveles:
- Impacto en los alumnos: Con la introducción de las nuevas tecnologías en el
proceso de aprendizaje, los alumnos cambiarán gradualmente su actitud hacia el
colegio y se sentirán más motivados para aprender; el uso de nuevas ayudas, el
desarrollo de sus propios proyectos, sus investigaciones junto con alumnos de
otros países contribuirá a mejorar sus habilidades y conocimiento ( habilidades
técnicas, mejor conocimiento de la lengua inglesa, habilidad para resolver
problemas, su actuación y su evaluación en el colegio). Serán capaces de
aprender más rápidamente y a la vez desarrollarán una actitud positiva hacia el
colegio. Al estar implicados en un trabajo de equipo su competencias
comunicativas se desarrollarán a través de una cooperación internacional que
ampliará sus horizontes. Los alumnos se sentirán más independientes y libres en
el proceso de aprendizaje y desarrollarán su creatividad y autosatisfacción. El
nivel de alfabetización aumentará y también su motivación por el desarrollo de
las habilidades lectoras y de escribir en su lengua materna y en lengua
extranjera.
- Impacto en los profesores: habrá más flexibilidad en las clases. El papel del
profesor cambiará gradualmente. Los profesores desarrollarán el trabajo
cooperativo y un gran número de profesores se enfrentarán a nuevos retos y
responsabilidades. Su buena predisposición por su desarrollo profesional
aumentará, mejorarán su actuación en la lengua inglesa al igual que sus
habilidades tecnológicas utilizando nuevos programas de ordenador e internet y
el intercambio con sus socios (profesores y colegios).
- Impacto en los padres: Conseguir que los padres se integren más en las
actividades del colegio para motivar a sus hijos a utilizar los recursos de la
biblioteca del colegio. Los padres obtendrán mayor conocimiento en las
tecnologías de la información. La interacción con alumnos de otros países les
permitirá ponerse en contacto con culturas diferentes y encontrar nuevos socios
para futuros proyectos.
- Impacto en el colegio: Los recursos de la biblioteca mejorarán ampliamente al
igual que la mejora profesional de los profesores que les llevará a una mayor
calidad de educación; el sistema educativo se adaptará poco a poco a las nuevas
generaciones; más y más serán cambiados en verdaderos colegios europeos.
- Impacto en los otros colegios locales y en la comunidad: Se les permitirá
acceder y utilizar los productos finales de la asociación.

PARTICIPACIÓN ACTIVA.
· La participación activa de alumnos y profesores es uno de los objetivos
principales de este proyecto.
· En cada colegio habrá un día de trabajo con el tema “Fomento de la
alfabetización” para presentar el proyecto y su evaluación.
· El equipo de alumnos será definido y harán su plan y sugerirán modos de
desarrollar las tareas del proyecto.
· Los alumnos participarán en reuniones para planificar y se les pedirán
sugerencias.
· El uso de las TIC será muy útil para el intercambio del trabajo a través de
interne, e-mails y también páginas web interesantes relacionadas con el
proyecto.
· Los alumnos crearán un blog para el club de lectura on-line.
· Los alumnos comentarán los libros recomendados.
· Los alumnos crearán un logo para el proyecto y este será utilizado en todas las
actividades producidas.
· Los alumnos crearán un PowerPoint con diapositivas o un video para fomentar
la biblioteca del colegio.
· Los alumnos organizarán “El día mundial del libro”
· Los alumnos crearán un CD con las grabaciones de historias, legendas o
poemas.
· Los alumnos crearán una presentación de un escritor de su país.
· Los alumnos crearán un periódico con los artículos producidos.
· Los alumnos crearán un cartel con algunas actividades del proyecto.
· Todos los participantes crearán una tarjeta de identificación en PowerPoint (no
más de cinco diapositivas) que será presentada la el primer encuentro.
· Los alumnos prepararán una exposición de fotos con las actividades
desarrolladas en las movilidades, presentaciones multimedia con opiniones
recogidas de los alumnos y/o profesores sobre las movilidades, presentación de
un periódico on-line, presentación del blog creado para “para el club de contar
historias” (con una dimensión intercultural).
El equipo de profesores:
· Utilizará internet/e-mail skype, blogs/plataforma e-learning para planear,
discutir, y enseñar puntos educativos.
· Un especialista en TIC ayudará a crear el blog.
· Los profesores de lengua involucrarán a los alumnos en la creación de historias,
legendas y poemas.
· Los profesores de lengua recomendarán la lectura del libro del trimestre.
· La biblioteca del colegio, el especialista en TIC y los profesores de plástica
ayudarán a producir el periódico y crear el PowerPoint o video para fomentar la
biblioteca del colegio.
· Los profesores de lengua recogerán las noticias para crear el periódico.
· Los profesores de lengua elegirán las mejores historias, poemas o legendas para
el concurso de escritura.
· Alumnos y profesores elegirían el logo del proyecto Comenius.
· Profesores y alumnos elegirán la mejor presentación sobre un escritor de su país.

EVALUACIÓN.
Diseñamos una amplia gama de métodos para observar y evaluar como se han
conseguido los objetivos del proyecto:
· Cuestionarios de recogida de información – de este modo seremos capaces de de
compara y comprobar nuestra evaluación y ver errores en cada etapa del
proyecto.
· Recoger información sobre el uso y la experiencia de los profesores con las TIC
en el aula como un modo de promover los hábitos de lectura y desarrollar la
alfabetización. Después comparar los resultados desde el principio al final del
proyecto.
· Una lista para comprobar la actuación de cada equipo, etapa a etapa.
· Portfolio de profesores – cada profesor identificará las tareas a desarrolla,
pondrá claros sus objetivos, y hará un plan de su participación en el proyecto.
Finalmente hará una reflexión sobre su participación será incluida en el
portfolio.
· Utilizar tablas para comprobar el progreso de los alumnos.
· Reuniones periódicas de los profesores implicados en el proyecto para evaluar,
ver los posibles errores y reformular si fuese necesario.
· Reuniones periódicas de los socios.
· Reuniones con los padres antes y después de las movilidades.
· El impacto en los alumnos y profesores se comprobará a través de la actitud, los
sentimientos, la predisposición para aprender y participar en las actividades del
proyecto, evolución en sus calificaciones y la mejora de su actuación.

CARTA DE PRESENTACIÓN

Hace aproximadamente un año, cuando aún estábamos plenamente implicados en el
primer proyecto Comenius del C.E.C. Virgen del Pasico, profundamente motivada por
la aceptación y positiva influencia en nuestros alumnos/as, principalmente los que
habían viajado y aquellos que veían la posibilidad de hacerlo, y con el total apoyo de la
dirección del centro, me lancé a la busca y captura de socios para poder participar en un
nuevo proyecto cuando el primero finalizase.
Ello me llevó largas horas frente al ordenador buscando proyectos que pudiesen
favorecer tanto al profesorado como al alumnado del centro. Tras enviar muchos
mensajes mostrando mi interés por formar parte de los equipos propuestos, un día llego
un e-mail desde Portugal aceptando mi oferta de participar en el proyecto que ellos
proponían junto a otros seis países. Completamos toda la documentación que enviamos
a nuestras respectivas Agencias Nacionales en febrero y comenzó la espera para el
nacimiento de un nuevo proyecto que sería bautizado con el título: “Promoción de la
lectura y la alfabetización a través de las TIC”.
Cuando allá por finales de junio, pocos días antes de marcharme de vacaciones recibí
un mensaje de la Agencia Nacional comunicándome que nuestro centro había sido
seleccionado para participar en el proyecto Comenius que habíamos solicitado, una gran
alegría me invadió, pues una vez más, y durante dos cursos académicos profesores y
alumnos tendríamos la fabulosa oportunidad de trabajar en estrecha colaboración con
otros profesores y alumnos de siete países europeos y de este modo conocer otras
culturas, intercambiar opiniones e ideas y ampliar las fronteras y expectativas de
nuestros alumnos.
Como coordinadora de este proyecto en el centro y motivada por el beneficio que este
tipo de trabajo en colaboración con otros centros europeos indudablemente aporta a los
alumnos pretendo animar a todo el profesorado y alumnado de Secundaria para que
trabajando en colaboración y equipo pueda sacar el mayor provecho posible de esta
oportunidad que nos brinda la OAPEE (Organismo Autónomo de Programas Educativos
Europeos).
Desde mi experiencia como alumna Erasmus en la Universidad inglesa de Leeds,
profesora de español en un colegio inglés, monitora con alumnos españoles en escuelas
de verano en centros ingleses y colaboradora activa en el anterior proyecto Comenius
del centro; todo lo cual me ha llevado a vivir y convivir con personas de muchos
países, animo a todos y cada uno de los lectores del presente texto a que no dejen pasar
cualquier oportunidad por pequeña que pueda ser, de vivir y trabajar en estrecha
colaboración con habitantes de otros países, pues puedo asegurar que esto nos lleva a
vivir momentos y experiencias inolvidables y a adquirir conocimientos que ni el mejor
profesor, libro de texto ni enciclopedia nos podrían jamás enseñar ni transmitir.
Espero y deseo que tanto los profesores como los alumnos que me van a acompañar en
esta aventura, al final de estos dos años, sientan que esta convivencia europea ha
ampliado sus conocimientos y horizontes y ha sido un gran beneficio en su vida.
